Small update.

So, sorry I haven't posted for so long. -_- This hasn't been abandoned, I promise. :P

The fourth chapter has been being really hard to write, and I think it's kind of unimportant to the storyline and boring. So I think I'll get rid of it and make them start meeting new major characters right away. :)

Sadly, I haven't even started downloading cc, taking screenshots or even writing the "new" chapter 4, so it might be a while...again... So sorry, again. :(

Chapter 3: And don't play with strange glow-y things that mysteriously appear out of thin air

"See? It was perfectly fine" Robert told me happily.

"Don't say 'I told you so'" I grumped. "So, we just go back in and we get back home?"

"Yeah, I think so. But I did te-"

"Hey, it's gone.." I said, turning around. It was true, the blue box had disappeared.

"Wha-" Robert said, moving closer to the spot where it had been. "Well, at least it only took us to Lonesome Lake. We can just take a taxi home!"

I stared at him. Really, he could be very crazy sometimes. "Robert, it's eleven thirty at night. There won't be any taxis. We'll probably just get caught by the police."
"Good point...wait, look." Robert pointed to the ground where the box had been. "What's that?"

"No idea.." I murmured, bending down to have a closer look.

"Well then, let's find out!" Robert grabbed the thing and started poking it.

"Robert-" I said warningly. "Put. It. Down."

Robert paid me no attention and said "Hey, I think it opens. There's a...thingy...inside?"

"A thingy?" I ask, trying to get a good look at it. It had a large red button that said "Random" and then some smaller, blue buttons below it. It also had a small screen with a 3D grid and a blinking red dot. Below the grid flashed the letters.

2054 A.D.

Strange. I was about to point this out when Robert positioned his finger over the button. "Robert...don't push the big red button..." I said, exasperated. Instead of listening to me, Robert grinned and pushed the button. I groaned and grabbed his arm.

I felt it get hot and then very cold, and then we were standing in the middle of the stone circle that was near Buttercup Way. "Well that wasn't so bad. We can walk home from here." I observe with a smile.

Robert just stood there, looking slightly stunned. "Uh, Gracie? Look at your clothes..." he said, pointing at me.

"What-...Oh." I said, looking down at myself.

"Er, you too." I told him.

The teleport had somehow changed our clothes to look like those of cavemen.

I bit my lip. "Hey Robert, can I see that teleport?"

"Yeah sure.." he mumbled, pushing it at me.
Just below the grid, there were new words flashing on the screen:

4764 B.C.

"Er...I think we got transported in time as well as space. It must somehow know what the clothing of the time period was." I said slowly, looking at the teleport and then back over at Robert.

Robert seemed to have gotten over his shock and was starting to look a bit worried. "So if we push the "Random" button again, it should take us to another random point in time and space, right?"

"I think so, yes..." I said slowly, looking at the teleport and then back over at him."But we're still in Sunset Valley. Maybe it can only transport us within Sunset Valley."

"Well, I don't think it matters very much. Even if it did, it would take a miracle to happen to get back to the time and we left."

"Well, we have to try, don't we?" I grabbed his hand with a smile and pushed the button.

I felt the familiar sensation wash over me. Hot, then cold.

Yes, and that chapter was very short again. :P I don't know how much longer I can make them, because I want to get them out pretty often but I don't have very much time to write them. I also have midterms this week, so the next chapter might be a bit late. :( I'll try to get the next one out by the weekend or a little before. (Or way before - it depends how much free time I actually end up getting.)

I'm also working on a "characters" page, which I'll update when I think of a new character. :) Sadly, I still have to write the bios and take a few of the screenshots, so that one might be a while. :( (Again...)

Okay, I think that's it. Have a nice day and do well on your exams if you have them. :) (I know a lot of people do this week. :P)

Chapter 2: Don't go into strange blue boxes that appear out of nowhere

NOTE: I've changed to the past tense. I think the story will be easier to tell this way. Sorry if I'm being confusing. :/ And I've also made the pictures bigger. :)

~One Year Later~

"Yet another meteor has landed just off of Plumbob Road. The Science Facility is still not sure what's causing so many meteors to land in one place, but they assure us they are looking into it. And now, to Sports."

I turned off the tv and curled up on the sofa. It was weird, having so many meteors land in one place. After the first two meteors had landed Robert had insisted that we figure out what was going on. He thinks the people at the Science Facility are a bunch of dunderheads, and I'm going to have to agree with him on that one.

Being lots more, um, obsessed with this "problem" than I was, he was the one who had been doing the actual researching. I'd just been checking his results and helping him with conclusions. From what we had figured out so far, the meteors were were being attracted to something. Robert had made it his mission to find out what that something was.
---

Ring, Ring. My phone was ringing in the middle of the night. I turned over and looked at my clock. 11:07 pm. The only person crazy enough to call me at this time of night would be Robert. I sighed and sleepily grabbed my phone.

"Hello?" I mumbled into the phone.

"Hi! It's Robert!" I'd noticed. "Listen, I think I found out why the meteors are landing where they are. Meet me at the site in ten minutes."

I groaned. "Can't this wait? It's eleven o'clock at night and we have school tomorrow. Plus, it's after curfew."

"Seriously, it won't take long. And where's your sense of adventure? Ten minutes, okay?"

"Fine. Meet you there in ten minutes." I said, and put down my phone. I quickly pulled on my clothes and snuck out to the meteorite site.

---

"See?" Robert pointed at the strange blue telephone box under the trees which were near where the meteors had been landing.

I looked over at him, confused. "How come no one has ever noticed this before?"

Robert grinned at me. He looked way too excited about this. "Perception Filter! I used the Revealer I've been making to make us able to see it."

I nodded. "That makes sense. But you are not going inside that thing. Have you figured out how this thing is attracting the meteors? And why it's here?"

"Uh, no. Not yet. Oh, and that's a great idea! Going inside, I mean."

I raised my eyebrows at him. "Excuse me? Don't go into strange meteor-attracting telephone boxes in the middle of the woods that you know nothing about?"

Robert just gave me a mysterious smile. "Seriously, Gracie, what could possibly go wrong?"

Oh, so many things...

Sorry this chapter was rather short. Also, I have edited Grace's backstory a bit. If you read that chapter the day it was published, if you could please reread the first 3 or so paragraphs. I would love it if you did. :3
Just btw, the LLAMA in my story isn't just a LLAMA. If you have watched Doctor Who you probably know what I am talking about. :)
Oh, and something totally unrelated to this story: I thought I'd share some of my favorite sim blogs with you. (In no particular order) They're all really good. <3

That's all, and have a very nice day. :)

Chapter 1: Introduction

NOTE: I have edited Grace's background story. If you read this before, please reread. :) It's going to be important later in the story.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi. My name is Grace Jackson. I'm 13 years old. I live in a house on the edge of Sunset Valley. And I've lived here my entire life. I live with my aunt and uncle, Zoe and Mark Gates. My mother and father both disappeared when I was a toddler, when they were on vacation in Al-Simhara. Or at least that's what I've been told. In truth, I can't remember anything before my 8th birthday.

I have two favorite activities: Trampoline and TV. I have a big passion for science, even though I found out I was a witch. I figure there must be some kind of scientific explanation for it all.

The reason I love science so much is because I seem to know things about it. Things I don't even remember learning. I think this must have some connection to my past, and I'm going to find out what it is.

---

Homework . Even though it's really easy for me, I still hate it. I'd much rather be jumping on the trampoline or watching tv or something other than this. I finish the "Part A" questions on the scientific method, and take a look at "Part B", due next Tuesday. With your partner, design an experiment that will...
Partner. Ha. I can't do that right now. I happily close my notebook and start to run upstairs to my bedroom. Halfway there, Zoe yells at me to come back downstairs. "You have a haircut, remember?"
---

I wake up late on Leisure Day. Tuesday is tomorrow, so I've invited my partner over to my house so we can work on our project. I get dressed and run outside to the trampoline. It's a beautiful day, and I jump until my partner gets here.
\

Sadly, we are neighbors, so I can't jump for very long. We head inside and start working on our project.

My partner's name is Robert, he's kind of nerdy and really shy, but he's also a genius, like me. With the two of us working together, we can probably finish this project in no time and still get a good grade.

I'm right, and by one in the afternoon we are done and I am trying to chat with him. He's really still shy around me, and quietly suggests that we go to the park and play chess. I agreed and we headed to the park together.

He's really good, but so am I. He beats me, then I beat him. By our third match, however, the sun has started to go down and we have to head home. We spend the evening at my house, chatting in front of the tv. I find out I have a ton in common with him, and by the time he has to leave he is a little bit less shy with me.I think we could even be counted as friends.

~

So yeah. I don't think this was the best first chapter, but it is the set up for the rest of the story. Sorry if it was a bit boring or the writing was bad. :/ It'll get better, I promise. :)
